Approximately 100 participants attended the FloridaWCA webinar “Navigating the Atlantic Hurricane Season: Science, Strategies, and Successes,” held December 3rd. This webinar featured speakers from academia, the Florida Floodplain Managers Association, and water management districts. Topics covered included changes in water quality, economic impacts, return period estimates, flood resilience planning, and strategies for building partnerships to enhance resilience.

Welcome Dr. Jasmeet Judge as the new member of the FloridaWCA Steering Committee

The Florida Water & Climate Alliance (FloridaWCA) welcomes Dr. Jasmeet Judge as a new member of its Steering Committee. Dr. Judge is Professor of Microwave Remote Sensing at the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department of the University of Florida and Director of the Center for Remote Sensing. The Steering Committee is excited to have Dr. Judge as they work towards fostering partnerships in the water sector.
