Welcome Debbie Griner as New Member of FloridaWCA Steering Committee

The Florida Water & Climate Alliance (FloridaWCA) is excited to welcome Debbie Griner as a new member of its Steering Committee. Griner serves as the Chief Resilience and Sustainability Officer at the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer, which provides high-quality drinking water and wastewater disposal services for the county while providing for future economic growth. Griner brings her expertise in formalizing and facilitating resilience to assist the FloridaWCA with its mission in fostering partnerships to co-develop and share locally relevant and actionable climate science, data, and decision support that promote sustainability in the water sector.
Griner has over 20 years of experience in public service having previously worked as a Resilience Program Manager, Transportation Manager, Sustainability Initiatives Coordinator, Special Projects Administrator, and Pollution Control Inspector. Her work includes various areas of conservation, outreach, sustainability, and more. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Florida International University with a minor in Biology. The FloridaWCA is excited to work with Griner in future projects and programs.
