The 21st FloridaWCA Workshop was hosted by the Orlando Utilities Commission (Gardenia Ave. Office) on February 7, 2020.

“Building Resilience to a Changing Climate: A Technical Training in Water Utility Decision Support” focused on important dimensions of building the resilience of water sector utilities, including creating a common vocabulary and understanding of climate science and practices so practitioners and consultants are able to effectively work together.

The project, “Integrating NASA Earth Systems Data into Decision-Making Tools of Member Utilities of the Florida Water and Climate Alliance” will link NASA Earth Science products with real-time monitoring and forecasting products that will deliver information to local water utilities at spatial and temporal scales relevant to them.

Wyatt Jordan, a recent graduate of FSU, attended a FloridaWCA workshop in April 2018 while an undergraduate. Since then, he has helped share the stories of Dr. Vasu Misra, and Kevin Morris with a broader audience through a Podcast.

The codes and data in this archive can be used to produce BCSA downscaled retrospective and future climate projections at a 12 km by 12 km resolution for watersheds within the Southeast USA.
